Hepatitis B Vaccine For Occupational Health
The Hepatitis B vaccine gives protection against the hepatitis B virus. This is a major cause of serious liver disease, including scarring of the liver (cirrhosis) and liver cancer.
Who is at risk of Hepatitis B?
if you're a health worker, who regularly vaccinates, takes blood or comes into contact with body fluids, it is recommended that you are immunised against Hepatitis B. If suitable, we can prescribe a course of 3 vaccines that you'll receive over 6 months at a participating McKeevers Chemists.
Cost?
A course of 3 vaccines costs a total of £150 (£50/vaccine).
